The Lancaster Bike Club is open to all
Members enjoy the many benefits of organized bicycling in a supportive environment. The club carefully plans rides and related events that result in self-confidence, physical fitness and improved technical skills. Members support and encourage each other, learn from each other, and enjoy the fellowship associated with LBC membership.

Members span all age and skill levels. Some are experienced cyclists who pursue bicycling as their primary hobby or physical fitness outlet. Others are beginners seeking to improve their skills. Cyclists under 16 years of age are required to have an adult family member accompany them on rides.

Club membership offers many benefits
Membership entitles you to participate in club rides, attend special events, receive the club newsletter, The Pedaller, and received club discounts at selected merchants.

Lancaster County is blessed with hundreds of miles of country roads with little or no traffic. This provides a large variety of routes for club rides. Rides are scheduled every weekend throughout the year and depart form various locations throughout the county.

Experienced ride leaders are dedicated to the safety and well being of the group. Rides vary in speed, distance and terrain. Ride information is available before the scheduled start. Cue sheets are provided to participants.

Monthly Newsletter
The Pedaller is mailed to all active LBC members. Our monthly publication includes current ride schedules, classified ads and Rides from the Past. The newsletter also promotes special events and publishes matters of special interest to our members.

Special Events & Affiliations
Organized club sponsored tours are frequently offered to our members. Day rides include trips to Annapolis, Hershey and Gettysburg. Cape May, St. Michaels & the Seagull Century have been recent overnight destinations. LBC members frequently organize trips to attend special cycling events sponsored by neighboring clubs. Our own annual Covered Bridge Metric Century is a nationally known and well attended bicycling event.

Lancaster Bicycle Club is affiliated with the Bicycle Access Council, Adventure Cycling Association and other organizations that are working to improve conditions for cyclists.
