A big Thank You also to the 150 volunteers who donated countless hours before, during and after the event. It is their efforts that make this day possible.

Some comments received about the 2008 Covered Bride Metric.

This was the first time to ride the covered bridge metric and it was fantastic from start to finish .I would like to thank the lancaster cycling club and all the volunteers who came out and made this a great ride .It will be on our calender for next year ,or if there is a chance of another ride this year and could you let me know. I hope everyone made it in safe and the medics were not needed ,once again great ride ,so well organized and great people. Bye for now Paul - Howard Co Maryland .

Great ride today! My first century and I enjoyed every kilometer! Very well supported. I would like to comment, however, on one issue that I found problematic. I felt the rider etiquette on this ride was rather poor. Entire groups of riders failed to call out when passing. This happened far too frequently. I think it would be helpful if rider etiquette was encouraged a bit more.
Thanks for sponsoring a great ride! Gerry - Lancaster PA

I rode the Covered Bridge Metric Century yesterday, and I wanted to drop you a line. I think you did a fantastic job of organizing this large event, and from what I saw it appeared to go very smoothly. Well done!

Sunday's 2008 Covered Bridge Ride was extraordinary. Everything was incredibly well organized and I want to thank everyone involved for making it an event to remember. This was our first time, and we will be back. I would ask other riders to respect the "keep right" rule, since the clear and easy path for passing was often blocked--but that hardly detracted from the pleasure of a beautiful ride in flawless weather.
Thanks again! The Elkridge MD Peloton!

Dear Lancaster Bike Club, Myself, my husband and three brothers did the 100K ride this past Sunday. I just want to thank you for an awesome event. This is the second time I've participated in this ride and it is so well-organized, I just wanted to commend you for a job well done.
The only comment I would like to make is that it may be helpful if you could remind riders when they register and on the cue sheets to be more mindful of the cars, because I noticed several occasions where riders weren't moving over and drivers were getting very irritated. Thank you so much. Sincerely,
Mary - Dublin,PA

Thank you for hosting a great event with the Covered Bridge Metric Centry Run. This was my century 32 mile bike ride and it was very amazing! It was organized, lunch was good, and parking was easy as well as registration.
Thank you for making my first run a memorable ride. I look forward to participating next year. Good job!
